ReplyDeleteI am terrible at sports, and there is this girl who yells at me non-stop about it! It is driving me nuts, and my parents just say that I should ignore it, but it is really hard to! I tried telling the coach, but he just said to toughen up! Hope you can help,

DeleteTry observing the girl who is so rude. Is she good at the sport? Maybe she is yelling at you to make herself feel better about not being as good as she wants to be. And tell your coach over and over again until he listens. Sports are meant to be fun, not violent. If he values his team and sport, he would care. If it's necessary, get the school counselor involved. But most importantly, have fun!

DeleteSometimes it helps to point it out if the other girl is not as good either, but don't be rude about it. Perhaps ask, "Do you need help figuring that out?" If that doesn't help, just stand up to the girl and tell her exactly how you feel and what you want her to stop. It might not work right away, but it's a start. Plus, even if you're not good at sports, you're probably good at something else!
